CG gains 31.1% over three months and trades near its 52-week highs. The PEG stands at 15.59 — severely stretched. Any earnings miss could trigger a sharp de-rating. CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited (CGPOWER) climbed +5% to ₹873.15 on the NSE today, driven by a technical move as the stock tests the upper end of its 6-month consolidation range. CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited NSE: CGPOWER edges up

CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited (CGPOWER) edged up from its support zone, gaining +5% to reach near support at ₹856. This move comes as the stock’s trendline status has shifted from consolidating down to approaching support. Today’s gain can be attributed to the company’s recent corporate announcements, including an analysts/institutional investor meet and the exercise of 218,150 options under ESOP/ESOS/ESPS. CG Power, a key player in the industrials sector focusing on electrical equipment and parts, saw a company-specific move today that didn’t necessarily align with broader sector momentum.

Technical setup — trendlines & DMA

Currently, CG Power’s 6-month support trendline is at ₹855.6, with the stock trading just 2.21% above this level. Resistance remains at ₹1007.29, indicating a significant gap to any potential upside. The 50-DMA at ₹915.8 is above the 200-DMA at ₹754.9, signaling a bullish trend, though the stock is trading 9.08% below the 50-DMA, suggesting it is in recovery mode. In terms of its 52-week range, the stock is in the upper third, trading 77% above the 52-week low and 10.8% below the 52-week high, which implies that while there’s room for further upside, a considerable portion of the potential move might already be priced in.

Algorithmic scorecard

The overall algorithmic scorecard reflects a technically strong but fundamentally weak position for CG Power. Two of the strongest signals are the excellent revenue CAGR of 21.2%, indicating robust growth over the past five years, and the very low debt level with a D/E ratio of 0.01, showcasing strong financial health. On the flip side, the two weakest signals are the low profit margin of 9.8%, which leaves little room for error, and the PEG ratio of 13.41, suggesting the stock is overvalued relative to its growth rate. These contrasting signals highlight the need for cautious optimism, balancing the company’s growth trajectory against its current valuation and financial metrics.
