SRF Limited NSE SRF approaching resistance

SRF Limited (SRF) fell -5% to ₹2715.2 on the NSE on 23 Jul 2026, backed by the company’s Q1FY27 financial results which showed robust revenue and profit growth. The stock’s decline today comes as it tests key support levels after hitting resistance. SRF, a diversified industrial conglomerate, operates in a sector that has shown mixed momentum. Today’s move appears to be company-specific, driven by the financial results and the stock’s technical setup rather than broader sector trends.

Technical setup — trendlines & DMA

The current 6-month trendline structure shows SRF approaching resistance at ₹2812, which is just 3.6% away. The stock is currently near support at ₹2731, slightly below this level by 0.58%. The 50-DMA at ₹2734.7 is above the 200-DMA at ₹2771.5, indicating a bearish trend. However, the stock is trading above both moving averages, suggesting a potential recovery. In its 52-week range, SRF is in the middle third, up 40% from the 52-week low and down 16.7% from the high, implying that a significant portion of the move is already priced in.

Fundamentals & business context

With a PE of 45.2, SRF’s valuation appears stretched given its profit margin of 11.6% and a revenue CAGR of 1.8%. The market might be pricing in expectations of a turnaround, despite the current revenue growth being modest. Institutional ownership stands at 30.3%, indicating a mixed view from the smart money. There is no NSE catalyst today beyond the Q1FY27 results, which have already been factored into the stock’s movement.

SRF falls 14.0% over three months and has not found a floor yet. Revenue contracts at 1.8% CAGR. That signals structural headwinds, not a short-term blip. No meaningful dividend — total return is entirely dependent on capital appreciation. The stock sits at 14% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. Revenue grows at 1.8% CAGR — a respectable pace. However, the stock drops 14.0% in three months without an obvious fundamental trigger. Sector-wide pressure or a valuation re-rating can persist for longer than expected. Therefore, there is no rush to step in. Check Fundamentals of SRF Limited.
