Century Enka Limited Centenka July 2026 Event

Century Enka Limited (NSE: CENTENKA) has announced significant strategic initiatives in July 2026, focusing on expanding its production capacity and enhancing sustainability practices. Established in 1965 by Late Shri B. K. Birla in collaboration with AKZO Nobel of the Netherlands, Century Enka has grown to become one of India’s largest producers of Nylon Filament Yarn (NFY) and Nylon Tyre Cord Fabric (NTCF).

Production Capacity Expansion

The company has decided to increase its total production capacity from 89,000 MT to 92,000 MT by commencing the Polyester Tyre Cord Fabric (PTCF) capacity and commissioning a new dipping line at its Pune plant. This expansion aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality nylon yarns used in various applications, including fish-twines, conveyor belts, sports and active wear, sarees, intimate and foundation wear, and reinforcement for tyres in motorcycles, scooters, light commercial vehicles (LCVs), medium & heavy commercial vehicles (MHCVs), farm, and off-the-road (OTR) vehicles.

Sustainability Initiatives

Century Enka is also making strides in sustainability by launching its new brand ‘neunyl’ for chemically recycled yarn from pre and post-consumer waste. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development, aligning with global efforts to reduce plastic waste and promote eco-friendly materials. The company’s two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Pune, Maharashtra, and Bharuch, Gujarat, continue to set industry standards for quality and efficiency.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Century Enka Limited’s Chairperson, Mrs. Rajashree Birla, spearheads social and community welfare activities across 40 companies in the Aditya Birla Group, benefiting over seven million people. The company’s dedication to excellence is further evidenced by its Excellence Award in Sustainability Management 2025.

Century gains 36.2% over three months and trades near its 52-week highs. The PEG reaches 3.32, hard to justify given the growth. The market prices in a turnaround that has not arrived. Thin margins at 5.9% leave limited room for error — any demand softness or cost spike hits the bottom line hard. Buyers show up with 3.4x the volume of sellers. Moreover, they dominated on 19 of recent sessions versus 11 for sellers — a healthy accumulation pattern. The stock rises 36.2% in three months. Yet revenue grows at only -6.1% and the PEG stands at 3.32. Either the market prices in a turnaround that has not shown up yet, or this is momentum without substance.
