Tamilnadu PetroProducts Limited (TNPETRO) doubles PBT and operating profit in Q1 FY27, revenue up 68% compared to Q1 FY26.
Tamilnadu PetroProducts Limited (TNPETRO) announced its first quarter results for FY2026-27 today, revealing a doubling of both profit before tax (PBT) and operating profit compared to the same period last year. TNPETRO’s revenue rose by about 68% over Q1 FY26, with EBITDA and PBT increasing by 138% and 129%, respectively. The increased demand, supported by efficient cost management, led to higher operating profit for the quarter. Financial Performance
The financial performance of TNPETRO in Q1 FY27 was impressive. Revenues stood at ₹784.17 crore, up from ₹468.27 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA surged to ₹124.84 crore, a significant increase from ₹52.45 crore in the same quarter last year. PBT before exceptional items reached ₹103.65 crore, more than double the ₹45.47 crore reported in Q1 FY26. The exceptional item was recorded at a loss of ₹0.27 crore, compared to an exceptional gain of ₹7.62 crore in the previous year.
Leadership Insights
Mr. Ashwin Muthiah, Vice Chairman – TNPETRO and Founder Chairman, AM International, Singapore, commented on the performance: “The first quarter has delivered a strong performance, with both sales and profitability showing significant growth, with profitability more than doubling compared to the corresponding period last year. This performance reflects the benefits of our continued focus on cost-led operational efficiencies, improved capacity utilization, and our ability to respond to higher customer demand. Despite the evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East resulting in increased input costs, the lower import pressures have supported the quarter’s overall performance. We remain focused on strengthening our competitiveness while developing carbon-neutral products and solutions that address the evolving sustainability needs of our customers.”
TNPETRO remains committed to sustaining and improving its performance in the petrochemical sector, meeting all stakeholders’ expectations following best practices.

Fundamental & Technical Analysis of Bharat Coking Coal Limited
Bharat Coking Coal Limited belongs to the Basic Materials › Coking Coal sector. Here’s a quick read on where the business and the stock stand today.
Bharat drops 20.9% over three months and trades near its 52-week lows. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. 2 loss quarter(s) over five years signals earnings fragility — not chronic but worth noting. The stock sits at 15% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. Revenue grows at 3.4% CAGR and the PEG stands at 99.00. The growth does not match the price the market asks. Furthermore, flat price action adds no technical catalyst. A lower price or faster revenue growth would improve the odds. Check Fundamentals of Bharat Coking Coal Limited.
