Gabriel India Limited GABRIEL pulls back from breakout highs

Gabriel India Limited (GABRIEL) pulled back after breakout, falling -5% to ₹1404.1 on the NSE on 22 Jul 2026. This move comes after the stock cleared its 6M resistance at ₹1365, showing a 2.8% breakout. Today’s fall is a retracement or profit-taking session rather than a fresh breakout. In the auto parts sector, GABRIEL’s move is notable as it has been outperforming, with today’s pullback likely a natural correction after a strong run.

Technical setup — trendlines & DMA

GABRIEL’s current chart structure shows a breakout above the 6M resistance trendline, which ended at ₹1364.85. The stock is now trading 2.80% above this level, indicating a structural shift. The 6M support trendline stands at ₹1262.5, which is 10.08% below today’s price, providing a potential floor for any further downside. The 50-DMA at ₹1163.2 is above the 200-DMA at ₹1050.8, signaling a bullish trend. GABRIEL is currently 27.97% above the 50-DMA and 41.65% above the 200-DMA, suggesting an extended move. In its 52W range of ₹795.7–₹1519.9, the stock is in the upper third, indicating that a significant portion of the move is already priced in.

Fundamentals & business context

With a PE of 84.5 and profit margins at 5.4%, GABRIEL’s valuation appears stretched relative to its current earnings. The revenue CAGR of 16.5% and profit CAGR of 24.0% show strong growth, but the thin margins suggest that the market may be pricing in future improvements or a turnaround. Institutional holding at 15.7% indicates a cautious approach by smart money, possibly reflecting the high valuation and low margins. There were no specific NSE catalysts today, making today’s move likely a technical correction.

Wheels India Limited Wheels Q2 FY27 Net Profit

Wheels India Limited (WHEELS) has reported a notable increase in its net profit for the second quarter of FY27, reaching Rs. 53.4 crores, compared to Rs. 27.8 crores in the same period last year. This significant growth is accompanied by a 36% rise in revenues, which now stand at Rs. 1,598 crores, up from Rs. 1,179 crores in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

Revenue Growth

The company’s revenue has surged due to strong sales in earthmover wheels, air suspension systems, and robust demand from the domestic markets for cars, trucks, and tractors. Moreover, export revenues have also seen a positive trend, growing to Rs. 388 crores in Q2 FY27 compared to Rs. 299 crores in the same quarter last year.

Fund Raising and Debt Reduction

Wheels India has successfully raised funds totaling Rs. 430 crores during Q2 FY27, with Rs. 180 crores through a preferential issue and Rs. 250 crores through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP). These funds were strategically utilized for debt reduction, which was completed by the end of September 2026.

Srivats Ram, Chairman and Managing Director of Wheels India, commented on the performance, stating, “The second quarter saw strong sales growth coming from earthmover wheels, air suspension, and the domestic Indian markets for cars, trucks, and tractors.” Looking ahead, Srivats noted, “In the second half, inflation is a concern. Growth will also be affected by a higher base effect arising out of GST 2.0 demand push that we benefited from in H2 last year.”

Wheels gains 66.6% over three months and trades near its 52-week highs. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. The PEG of 0.90 signals undervaluation relative to growth. It is a potential re-rating candidate. Buyers show up with 2.5x the volume of sellers. Moreover, they dominated on 16 of recent sessions versus 14 for sellers — a healthy accumulation pattern. Both the business and the stock move in the right direction. Revenue grows at 5.9%, profits at 41.0%, and the PEG sits at 0.90 — below its growth rate. That combination is rare. Check Fundamentals of Wheels India Limited.

Schaeffler falls 11.5% over three months and has not found a floor yet. The PEG stands at 4.87 — severely stretched. Any earnings miss could trigger a sharp de-rating. Revenue consistency is the one bright spot — zero dips in five years shows operational resilience. The stock sits at 16% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. Revenue grows at 12.3% CAGR — a respectable pace. However, the stock drops 11.5% in three months without an obvious fundamental trigger. Sector-wide pressure or a valuation re-rating can persist for longer than expected.
