Pricol Limited PRICOLLTD clears resistance

Pricol Limited (PRICOLLTD) gained +5% today, driven by technical momentum as the stock cleared key resistance at ₹656. This move places PRICOLLTD in the upper third of its 52-week range, reflecting strong performance in the auto parts sector where the company operates. Today’s gain aligns with the sector’s cyclical nature, though it also shows company-specific strength given the breakout above resistance.

Technical setup — trendlines & DMA

From a technical perspective, PRICOLLTD is currently trading above its 6-month support trendline at ₹631.33, indicating a robust uptrend. The stock has broken through the resistance trendline at ₹655.8, signaling a potential continuation of the upward momentum. The 50-day moving average (DMA) is slightly below the 200-DMA, suggesting a bearish trend, but the stock’s current price is well above both moving averages, indicating a stretched move. Fundamentals & business context

Fundamentally, PRICOLLTD’s PE of 32.1 appears elevated given its profit margin of 6.2%, which suggests that the market may be pricing in future growth rather than current earnings. The company’s revenue CAGR of 27.7% and profit CAGR of 26.2% indicate strong historical growth, but the thin profit margins leave little room for error. Institutional ownership stands at 24.2%, suggesting that smart money has a moderate level of confidence in the company. There was no NSE catalyst today, indicating that the move is purely technical.

Algorithmic scorecard

The overall algorithmic scorecard reflects a technically strong but fundamentally weaker profile for PRICOLLTD. The strongest signals include the excellent revenue and profit CAGRs, which highlight the company’s robust growth trajectory, and the very low debt levels, indicating solid financial health. On the weaker side, the low profit margin of 6.2% poses a risk, especially if costs rise, and the negligible dividend yield offers little income for investors. Additionally, the high public holding of 53.02% could lead to higher volatility.

Wheels India Limited Wheels Q2 FY27 Net Profit

Wheels India Limited (WHEELS) has reported a notable increase in its net profit for the second quarter of FY27, reaching Rs. 53.4 crores, compared to Rs. 27.8 crores in the same period last year. This significant growth is accompanied by a 36% rise in revenues, which now stand at Rs. 1,598 crores, up from Rs. 1,179 crores in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

Revenue Growth

The company’s revenue has surged due to strong sales in earthmover wheels, air suspension systems, and robust demand from the domestic markets for cars, trucks, and tractors. Moreover, export revenues have also seen a positive trend, growing to Rs. 388 crores in Q2 FY27 compared to Rs. 299 crores in the same quarter last year.

Fund Raising and Debt Reduction

Wheels India has successfully raised funds totaling Rs. 430 crores during Q2 FY27, with Rs. 180 crores through a preferential issue and Rs. 250 crores through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP). These funds were strategically utilized for debt reduction, which was completed by the end of September 2026.

Srivats Ram, Chairman and Managing Director of Wheels India, commented on the performance, stating, “The second quarter saw strong sales growth coming from earthmover wheels, air suspension, and the domestic Indian markets for cars, trucks, and tractors.” Looking ahead, Srivats noted, “In the second half, inflation is a concern. Growth will also be affected by a higher base effect arising out of GST 2.0 demand push that we benefited from in H2 last year.”

Wheels gains 66.6% over three months and trades near its 52-week highs. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. The PEG of 0.90 signals undervaluation relative to growth. It is a potential re-rating candidate. Buyers show up with 2.5x the volume of sellers. Moreover, they dominated on 16 of recent sessions versus 14 for sellers — a healthy accumulation pattern. Both the business and the stock move in the right direction. Revenue grows at 5.9%, profits at 41.0%, and the PEG sits at 0.90 — below its growth rate. That combination is rare. Check Fundamentals of Wheels India Limited.

Schaeffler falls 11.5% over three months and has not found a floor yet. The PEG stands at 4.87 — severely stretched. Any earnings miss could trigger a sharp de-rating. Revenue consistency is the one bright spot — zero dips in five years shows operational resilience. The stock sits at 16% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. Revenue grows at 12.3% CAGR — a respectable pace. However, the stock drops 11.5% in three months without an obvious fundamental trigger. Sector-wide pressure or a valuation re-rating can persist for longer than expected.
