Tata Motors TMCV October 2026 Electric Trucks

Tata Motors Limited (NSE: TMCV) announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Amazon to deploy 3,000 electric trucks across India’s transportation network. This initiative marks the largest electric-truck deployment by an e-commerce company in the country, aiming to scale electric freight transportation significantly. The partnership will see the deployment of Tata Ultra E.7 trucks, which will support intracity freight movement and major national freight corridors.

Strategic Collaboration

The collaboration brings together Amazon’s logistics network and long-term freight demand with Tata Motors’ engineering, manufacturing, and service capabilities. The partnership aims to address key barriers to electric truck adoption and demonstrate how zero-exhaust-emission trucks can operate at scale. The initial rollout will begin in Delhi during the festive season, expanding to the 2,800-km Delhi-Bengaluru-Chennai corridor along NH48.

Environmental Impact

This move supports India’s broader push towards cleaner mobility and freight electrification, aligning with initiatives like the PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) and PARIVARTAN. The deployment of electric trucks is expected to reduce transportation-related emissions, contributing to improving air quality in major cities.

Future Outlook

As part of the collaboration, Tata Motors will supply electric trucks for Amazon’s transportation requirements, while Amazon’s carrier partners will own and operate the vehicles. This partnership is a significant step towards achieving Amazon’s goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 and accelerating commercial fleet electrification in India.

Tata posts a 1.5% three-month gain, but softens in the last few weeks. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. Revenue contracts at -56.0% CAGR. That signals structural headwinds, not a short-term blip. The stock gives back 0.8% in the last month despite a positive three-month run. As a result, the earlier momentum appears to be fading. Revenue grows at -56.0% CAGR and the PEG stands at 99.00. The growth does not match the price the market asks. Furthermore, flat price action adds no technical catalyst. A lower price or faster revenue growth would improve the odds. Check Fundamentals of Tata Motors Limited.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited Maruti Q2 FY26 Results

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MARUTI) today announced its financial results for Q2 (July-September) and H1 (April-September) FY 2026-27, marking significant milestones in its performance. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly total sales volume of 696,654 units, registering a growth of 26.5% over the same period in the previous year. This robust growth was driven by a broad-based increase in the domestic passenger vehicle market, with small car sales up by 35.9% and SUV sales soaring by 68.2%.

Record Domestic Sales

The company’s recently introduced SUVs received a strong market response, contributing to this robust growth. The domestic market share increased by 2.2 percentage points to 40.8%. Recent capacity additions have enabled the company to serve the strong demand, although demand continued to outpace supply, resulting in a low network inventory of about 17 days and pending bookings of about 200,000 units at the end of the quarter.

Export Sales and Net Profit

In export markets, despite the challenging geopolitical situation, the company could achieve sales of 108,119 units in Q2 FY 2026-27, compared to 110,487 units in Q2 FY 25-26. During the quarter, the company registered its highest-ever Net Sales of INR 506,155 million against INR 401,358 million in the same period of the previous year. The Operating Profit (EBIT) in the quarter stood at INR 28,037 million as compared to INR 33,820 million in Q2 FY25-26 owing to West-Asia conflict linked commodity increases. With this, the Net Profit for the quarter stood at INR 24,149 million compared to INR 33,028 million the same period previous year.

Moreover, during the first half of FY 2026-27, the company achieved its highest-ever half-yearly sales volume of 1,379,378 units, registering a growth of 27.9% year-on-year. This comprised record half-yearly domestic sales of 1,146,523 units and exports of 232,855 units. The company posted its highest-ever half-yearly Net Sales of INR 1,005,746 million in H1 FY 2026-27 as compared to INR 767,564 million in H1 FY 2025-26. Net Profit in H1 FY 2026-27 was at INR 57,670 million as against INR 70,609 million in H1 FY 2025-26.

As a forward-looking measure, the board approved the incorporation of a Section 8 company for setting up the Osamu Suzuki Centre of Excellence, which will use Japanese manufacturing philosophy to promote and enhance vocational and future-ready technical skills and concepts for advancing manufacturing excellence across India.

Maruti drops 16.8% over three months and trades near its 52-week lows. Thin margins at 7.3% leave limited room for error — any demand softness or cost spike hits the bottom line hard. The business compounds revenue at 15.9% and profits at 21.1% CAGR. That is strong double-digit growth on both counts. The stock sits at 6% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. The business compounds at 15.9% revenue and 21.1% profit CAGR, with D/E of 0.00. Yet the stock drops 16.8% in three months. The business does not deteriorate — the stock does. That gap is what long-term investors look for. Check Fundamentals of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

Ather posts a 14.7% three-month gain, but softens in the last few weeks. Thin margins at 9.2% leave limited room for error — any demand softness or cost spike hits the bottom line hard. 5 loss quarters over five years is a serious red flag — earnings quality is poor and recovery is not guaranteed. The stock gives back 6.2% in the last month despite a positive three-month run. As a result, the earlier momentum appears to be fading. Revenue grows at 27.2% and the stock moves sideways over three months. Neither side makes a strong case. The next earnings print will likely break this stock out of its current range.
