Tata Capital Limited (TATACAP) announces acquisition of Yogakshemam Loans Limited, entering gold loan market with ₹93 crore investment.
Tata Capital Limited (TATACAP) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved the acquisition of Yogakshemam Loans Limited (Yogloans), an RBI-registered non-banking financial company primarily focused on gold loans. This acquisition marks Tata Capital’s entry into the gold loan business, a secured lending segment with significant growth potential. It aligns with Tata Capital’s strategy of building a diversified retail lending franchise and provides access to an established platform.
Strategic Move
The acquisition is expected to be completed within eight months from the execution of the Securities Subscription and Purchase Agreement dated July 13, 2026, subject to satisfaction of customary conditions and regulatory approvals. The transaction is based on a pre-money equity valuation of Yogloans not exceeding ₹318 crore and includes a primary capital infusion of approximately ₹93 crore to support the company’s growth plans.
Operational Continuity
Post acquisition, Mr. Unnikrishnan Idicharm Veetil, the industry veteran leading Yogloans, will continue to lead the company, ensuring continuity for customers, employees, and business partners. The acquisition will see Tata Capital holding approximately 88.6% of the issued and paid-up share capital (on a fully diluted basis) of Yogloans.
As a result, Tata Capital will enter the gold loan market through an established platform with a proven operating track record. The company serves around 32,000 gold loan customers and operates through a network of 162 branches across Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, with Assets Under Management (AUM) of ₹708 crore as of March 31, 2026.
Commenting on the transaction, Mr. Rajiv Sabharwal, Managing Director & CEO, Tata Capital Limited, said: “This transaction marks Tata Capital’s entry into the gold loan business, adding a secured lending product with significant growth potential to our retail lending portfolio and supporting our strategy of building a diversified lending franchise. Yogloans has built a strong business over more than a decade under the leadership of Mr. Unnikrishnan and his team. We believe the combination of Yogloans’ market expertise with Tata Capital’s trusted brand, capital strength, technology, and risk management capabilities will accelerate growth and create an enhanced experience for customers.”

Fundamental & Technical Analysis of Moneyboxx Finance Limited
Moneyboxx Finance Limited belongs to the Financial Services › Credit Services sector. Here’s a quick read on where the business and the stock stand today.
Moneyboxx falls 12.4% over three months and has not found a floor yet. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. Revenue consistency is the one bright spot — zero dips in five years shows operational resilience. Sellers drive 1.9x the volume of buyers. Furthermore, they controlled 14 of recent sessions versus 15 for buyers — a clear distribution signal. Revenue grows at 59.7% yet the PEG reaches 99.00 — expensive for that growth. Furthermore, the stock drops 12.4% in three months. Neither value nor momentum supports this setup. It needs an earnings beat or a price reset first. Check Fundamentals of Moneyboxx Finance Limited.
