Standalone Results

The company’s operating profit surged by 24.73% to Rs. 398.04 crores. The profit before tax (PBT) also increased by 16.83% to Rs. 280.68 crores. The earnings per share (EPS) rose to Rs. 16.36 from Rs. 13.96 in the same quarter last year.

Business Outlook

Commenting on the business environment, Mr. M. P. Taparia, Chairman & Managing Director, said: ‘The first quarter of FY27 was impacted by extraordinary volatility in polymer prices, particularly the abnormal downward price movement witnessed during April, which triggered inventory correction across the value chain. While this affected industry volumes during the quarter, we believe this is a temporary phenomenon. With polymer prices returning to more stable levels, removal of customs duty exemption w.e.f. 16th July and effecting Minimum Import Prices (MIP) for suspension Grade PVC Resin, Company expects improved business momentum in the coming quarters as channel inventories normalize and demand conditions recover.’

The company remains optimistic about leveraging India’s medium and long-term growth opportunities with its diversified product portfolio, strong brand equity, and wide distribution network.

Supreme falls 8.1% over three months and has not found a floor yet. The PEG stands at 13.48 — severely stretched. Any earnings miss could trigger a sharp de-rating. Thin margins at 8.5% leave limited room for error — any demand softness or cost spike hits the bottom line hard. The stock sits at 13% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. Revenue grows at 6.8% CAGR — a respectable pace. However, the stock drops 8.1% in three months without an obvious fundamental trigger. Sector-wide pressure or a valuation re-rating can persist for longer than expected. Therefore, there is no rush to step in. Check Fundamentals of Supreme Industries Limited.

Updater rises 13.3% over three months, with buying pressure holding steady. The PEG of 0.50 is extremely low. Either the market misses the growth story, or there is a catch worth investigating. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. Buyers show up with 1.6x the volume of sellers. Moreover, they dominated on 16 of recent sessions versus 14 for sellers — a healthy accumulation pattern. Both the business and the stock move in the right direction. Revenue grows at 11.9%, profits at 33.8%, and the PEG sits at 0.50 — below its growth rate. That combination is rare. Check Fundamentals of Updater Services Limited.

Ramkrishna gains 21.7% over three months and trades near its 52-week highs. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. 1 loss quarter(s) over five years signals earnings fragility — not chronic but worth noting. The stock trades at 74% of its 52-week range — near its best levels of the year. Clearly, the market pays a premium for this name. Revenue grows at 10.5% CAGR and the PEG stands at 99.00. The growth does not match the price the market asks. Furthermore, flat price action adds no technical catalyst. A lower price or faster revenue growth would improve the odds.
