Juniper Green Energy Limited (JNPR) secures 230 MW capacity in SECI’s renewable energy tender, reinforcing its commitment to India’s energy transition.
Juniper Green Energy Limited (‘Juniper Green Energy’ or ‘Company’) has emerged as the winning bidder for 230 MW under the e-Reverse auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for its 1000 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Round-the-Clock (RTC) Renewable Energy tender. The Company secured the capacity at a tariff of ₹5.26 per unit. This successful bid marks another important milestone in our journey of building large-scale, reliable renewable energy solutions for India’s evolving power needs.
Strengthening Renewable Portfolio
The project will be backed by a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI, with the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) set at 24 months from the PPA Effective Date. The project further strengthens Juniper Green Energy’s growing portfolio of FDRE and Round-the-Clock projects, reinforcing the Company’s ability to deliver reliable renewable power through integrated solar, wind, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions.

Juniper Green Energy Limited (JNPR) has announced its highest-ever quarterly total income of INR 324 Cr in Q1 FY27, marking a 79% year-on-year increase. The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose 86% to INR 294 Cr, driven by significant operational capacity additions and efficient project execution.
Financial Highlights
The consolidated financial performance for the quarter is summarized below:
- Total Income: INR 324 Cr (up 79% YoY)
- EBITDA: INR 294 Cr (up 86% YoY)
- EBITDA Margin: 91% (up 300 bps YoY)
- PAT: INR 33 Cr (up 54% YoY)
- Cash PAT: INR 108 Cr (up 50% YoY)
Operational Achievements
JNPR commissioned the highest-ever quarterly renewable energy (RE) capacity of 601 MWp, comprising 458 MWp of solar and 143 MWp of wind energy, along with 403 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS). The operational capacity now stands at 2,575 MWp, including 503 MWh of BESS.
New Awards and Agreements
The company has secured two new tenders post June 30, 2026: a 230 MW contracted capacity for SECI’s FDRE Round-the-Clock (Thermal Mimic) tender and a 50 MW wind project with GUVNL at INR 3.51/kWh. Additionally, JNPR signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited for a 50 MW FDRE project at Rs 4.25/kWh.
As a result, Juniper Green Energy Limited continues to strengthen its position in the renewable energy sector, with a total portfolio of 11,216 MWp and 8,989 MWh of BESS capacity.
