Hindustan Zinc Hindzinc Electric Trucks

Hindustan Zinc Limited (BSE: 500188 | NSE: HINDZINC), the world’s largest integrated zinc producer, has signed a six-year transportation contract with MFL India Limited for the deployment of 30 electric trucks for concentrate transportation, accelerating the electrification of its mine-to-smelter logistics network. This move highlights Hindustan Zinc’s commitment to decarbonising its operations. Under the contract, extendable by a further two years, electric trucks will replace conventional diesel vehicles used for transporting zinc and lead concentrate from Rampura Agucha, the world’s largest underground zinc mining operations to its smelting operations in Rajasthan.

Strategic Partnership

MFL India Limited, a logistics solutions provider, will establish and operate dedicated EV charging infrastructure to support the fleet, creating the ecosystem required for reliable electric mobility across a critical industrial logistics route. Mr. Amarendu Prakash, CEO & Whole-time Director, Hindustan Zinc Limited, said, “The future of mining will be defined not only by the metals we produce, but by how responsibly and efficiently we produce and move them. The contract for deployment of EV trucks for concentrate transportation is yet another step towards that future, demonstrating how industrial decarbonisation can strengthen competitiveness while creating an ecosystem in which our partners and communities grow with us.”

Phased Transition to Cleaner Mobility

Recognising the higher capital requirements associated with emerging technologies such as EVs and LNG, Hindustan Zinc is working with MFL to enable a phased transition to cleaner mobility, progressively replacing conventional vehicles as the EV fleet and charging infrastructure are established, while ensuring continued participation of local drivers in the transportation network. Mr. Anil Thukral, Chairman & Managing Director, MFL India Limited, said, “We are proud to partner with Hindustan Zinc in advancing the transition to cleaner industrial logistics. This deployment demonstrates how electric mobility can be effectively integrated into large-scale transportation networks, supported by the right charging infrastructure and operational planning. Together, we are building a scalable model for sustainable logistics that delivers both environmental benefits and long-term operational value.”

This deployment builds on Hindustan Zinc’s growing adoption of cleaner mobility across its integrated operations. During FY2026, the company added 42 electric vehicles for transporting materials across its operations, expanding its green logistics fleet to 232 vehicles including 52 EVs and 180 LNG vehicles. The transition is part of Hindustan Zinc’s wider decarbonisation roadmap to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050 or sooner.

Hindustan posts a 8.8% three-month gain, but softens in the last few weeks. Industry-leading margins of 38.1% reflect exceptional pricing power and operational efficiency. The PEG of 1.53 is mildly rich. Nevertheless, the quality of the business makes it defensible. The stock gives back 1.2% in the last month despite a positive three-month run. As a result, the earlier momentum appears to be fading. Revenue grows at 5.6% and profits at 9.6%, and the dividend yield stands at 3.56%. The business is in good shape. Cubex gains 183.8% over three months and trades near its 52-week highs. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. Revenue grows at 14.7% and profits at 41.2% CAGR. However, that pace does not justify a premium multiple. RSI hits 86, a level that signals the stock runs hot. Notably, buyers drove volume on 22 recent sessions — though at these levels, some profit-taking is normal. The stock rises 183.8% in three months on 14.7% revenue growth. As a result, the market gives it more credit than the fundamentals strictly justify. Watch the next quarterly results. If growth accelerates, the move makes sense. If not, expect some gains to unwind. Check Fundamentals of Cubex Tubings Limited.

Sukhjit Starch & Chemicals Limited Sukhjits Q2 FY27 Revenue Growth

Sukhjit Starch & Chemicals Limited (NSE: SUKHJITS) has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30th September 2026, marking a significant milestone with a revenue growth of 30.64% year-on-year in Q2 FY27. The company’s revenue from operations increased to ₹408.49 crores from ₹312.68 crores in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. This impressive growth is attributed to improved demand across key end-user industries and disciplined execution strategies.

Financial Performance Highlights

The EBITDA for the quarter has increased to ₹35.87 crores, reflecting a year-on-year improvement of 78.90%. Profit before tax (PBT) also saw a substantial jump, rising to ₹21.40 crores, a 355% increase from ₹4.70 crores in Q2 FY26. Profit after tax (PAT) similarly surged to ₹15.80 crores, up from ₹4.07 crores in the same quarter last year. These figures underscore the company’s robust financial health and operational efficiency.

Looking Ahead

Commenting on the results, Mr. K.K. Sardana, Managing Director, noted that Q2 FY27 was a strong quarter for the company, driven by healthy demand in food processing, paper, textiles, and other industrial segments. As demand conditions continue to improve, the company is focused on capturing near-term growth opportunities while building capabilities for future expansion. The proposed 1,200 TPD maize-processing facility in Maharashtra is expected to significantly enhance capacity, improve operating efficiencies, and support future value creation.

Sukhjit falls 11.4% over three months and has not found a floor yet. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. Revenue contracts at -0.3% CAGR. That signals structural headwinds, not a short-term blip. RSI stands at 28, well into oversold territory. Yet sellers still dominated on 19 of recent sessions versus 11 for buyers, so the pressure has not fully lifted. Revenue grows at -0.3% yet the PEG reaches 99.00 — expensive for that growth. Furthermore, the stock drops 11.4% in three months. Neither value nor momentum supports this setup. It needs an earnings beat or a price reset first. Paradeep moves sideways over three months, with neither buyers nor sellers taking control. The PEG of 0.29 is extremely low.
