What is sector rotation?

Sector rotation is the idea that leadership in the market shifts between broad areas (financials, technology, energy, and so on) as risk appetite, earnings expectations, and liquidity change. This page does not predict rotation by itself; it measures relative momentum today—scores plus average price path of constituents—so you can see which industries are currently leading or lagging before you form a rotation view.

How scores are calculated (high level)

Each industry row shows three headline scores, each on a 0–100 style scale derived from TradeAlone models:

• Fundamental — ranks business quality, growth, profitability, balance-sheet risk, and related fundamental signals for the names in that industry.
• Technical — summarizes price structure, trend, and key technical posture for those same names.
• Total — a blended view that weights fundamental and technical signals together so you can compare industries on one line when you do not want to split the story.

Average price change (1W · 1M · 3M) is the equal-weight average move of listed constituents in that industry for each horizon—use it alongside scores to see whether price is confirming or fighting the score story.

Use the Timeframe control (1 Week, 1 Month, 3 Months) to re-rank the Leaders and Laggards industry columns on that horizon’s average price move. Scores (Fundamental / Technical / Total) stay comparable; only the sort key for the two columns changes so you can align the screen with your holding period.

Why industries and not only sectors?

Sectors are wide. Industries isolate a tighter peer set so averages and scores are more meaningful than diluting across unrelated business models.

Do I need JavaScript?

Where does the data come from?

Scores and price moves are refreshed from TradeAlone’s sector analysis models, updated on each daily pipeline run.
