Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited (noidatoll) Completes Road Repair and Maintenance Activities
Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited (NOIDATOLL) completes road repair and maintenance activities, including Bituminous Concrete works, delayed due to GRAP-IV restrictions.
Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited (NSE: NOIDATOLL) has successfully completed multi-phased road repair and maintenance activities across critical sections of the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) Flyway. The company initiated these works in the first phase of its upgradation program, which included Bituminous Concrete (BC), SDBC works, micro-surfacing, and other related repairs. The second phase, initially planned to commence in October 2025, faced delays due to statutory restrictions under GRAP-IV, pushing the completion timeline to April 2026. However, the project has now been duly completed.
Independent Technical Assessment
The NTBCL Board undertook an Independent Technical Assessment of the DND Flyway to evaluate long-term maintenance requirements. The assessment, conducted by CRISIL Intelligence and Almondz Global Infra, aimed to ensure the infrastructure maintains world-class ride quality standards. Key findings indicated that the DND Flyway remains structurally sound and does not require major structural strengthening or rehabilitation in the immediate future. The assessment estimated phased functional overlay and upkeep requirements of approximately ₹20 crore over the next five years.
Judicial Relief
The board also noted the interim stay granted by the Delhi High Court on NOIDA Authority’s demand letter, which sought to stop NTBCL’s advertisement displays and recover over ₹100 crore in alleged advertisement license fees. The court’s order restrained NOIDA from taking any coercive action against NTBCL or disrupting its advertisement operations, extending this protection until July 28, 2026. NTBCL reiterated its commitment to act in the best interests of its shareholders while maintaining transparency, compliance, and accountability.
NTBCL, an IL&FS Group Company, was incorporated as a Special Purpose Vehicle to develop, operate, and maintain the DND Flyway, operational since 2001, serving as a critical urban mobility corridor connecting Delhi and Noida.

Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL) Partners with PESA to Explore Passenger Rolling Stock for India’s Metro and High-speed Rail
Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL) partners with Poland’s PESA to explore passenger rolling stock for India’s metro and high-speed rail needs.
Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL), one of India’s leading rolling stock and mobility solutions companies, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pojazdy Szynowe PESA Bydgoszcz S.A. (PESA), Poland’s largest manufacturer of trainsets and metros. At the heart of the MoU is a shared intent to explore cooperation in passenger rolling stock for India, as the country’s rail network enters an era defined by metro, semi high-speed and high-speed travel.
Strategic Collaboration
The move marks the next step in JWL’s evolution from a wagon manufacturer into a future-ready, integrated mobility solutions company. The MoU provides a framework under which JWL and PESA will explore cooperation in the development, manufacturing and deployment of passenger rail vehicles for regional, intercity and urban transport applications in India and other markets.
Complementary Strengths
PESA, whose roots in Bydgoszcz date back to 1851, designs, manufactures and maintains passenger rolling stock including metros and trams across Europe. JWL brings manufacturing scale, a long track record of supplying to Indian Railways, private players and integrated capabilities across rolling stock, components, castings and wheelsets. Together, they aim to deliver world-class, indigenously built passenger trains for India and beyond, firmly in line with the Government of India’s Make in India vision.
Future Prospects
As passenger rail in India continues to transform with semi high-speed trainsets and the development of the first high-speed rail corridor, JWL’s partnership with PESA positions it to meet the sustained demand for modern, efficient and comfortable passenger rolling stock. This collaboration could be one of PESA’s most important markets outside of Europe, and a significant step in PESA’s international expansion.
