Hindustan Zinc Limited (hindzinc) Deploys India’s First 250 MT Electric Crane at Debari Smelter
Hindustan Zinc Limited (HINDZINC) has deployed India’s first 250 MT electric crane at its Debari Smelter, marking a significant step towards reducing emissio.
Hindustan Zinc Limited (BSE: 500188 & NSE: HINDZINC) has deployed India’s first 250 MT electric crane at its Zinc Smelter Debari in Rajasthan. This hybrid-powered crane marks a significant step in the company’s journey towards decarbonizing core operations and integrating clean technologies across its industrial infrastructure.
A Milestone in Sustainability
The deployment of this electric crane is part of Hindustan Zinc’s broader green roadmap. Over the past three years, the company has rolled out a wide suite of clean mobility solutions, including India’s first underground battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and electric and LNG-powered logistics fleets. The crane will play a pivotal role in reducing on-site emissions and is expected to avoid approximately 250.8 tCO₂e annually by replacing a diesel-operated crane consuming around 93,600 litres of diesel per year.
Commitment to Net-Zero Emissions
Speaking on the initiative, Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, said, “At Hindustan Zinc, sustainability is deeply embedded in how we operate, innovate and grow. The deployment of India’s first 250 MT electric crane is another example of our resolve to adopt clean technology and redefine how core industry transitions to low-carbon solutions.” The company’s climate action initiatives are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, particularly those focused on clean energy, climate action, responsible production, and sustainable industrial innovation.
As the first Indian company to join the International Council on Mining and Metals, Hindustan Zinc continues to improve energy efficiency, reduce its carbon footprint, and accelerate clean energy adoption. The company has increased renewables to nearly 18% of its power mix, commissioned over 530 MW of round-the-clock renewable energy capacity, and aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% and Scope 3 emissions by 25% from the 2020 baseline.

Fundamental & Technical Analysis of Bharat Coking Coal Limited
Bharat Coking Coal Limited belongs to the Basic Materials › Coking Coal sector. Here’s a quick read on where the business and the stock stand today.
Bharat drops 20.9% over three months and trades near its 52-week lows. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. 2 loss quarter(s) over five years signals earnings fragility — not chronic but worth noting. The stock sits at 15% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. Revenue grows at 3.4% CAGR and the PEG stands at 99.00. The growth does not match the price the market asks. Furthermore, flat price action adds no technical catalyst. A lower price or faster revenue growth would improve the odds. Check Fundamentals of Bharat Coking Coal Limited.
