Jsw Steel Limited Jswsteel May 2026 Crude Steel Production

JSW Steel Limited (JSWSTEEL) announced consolidated crude steel production for May 2026, registering a 15% year-over-year growth to 22.93 lakh tonnes. This significant increase was driven by full operations of the Dolvi unit and fully ramped-up JVML operations. Notably, the production figures for Indian operations stood at 21.98 lakh tonnes, up from 19.17 lakh tonnes in May 2025, marking a 15% growth. Meanwhile, JSW Steel USA – Ohio saw a 20% rise, producing 0.95 lakh tonnes compared to 0.79 lakh tonnes in the same period last year.

Production Breakdown

The consolidated production included 21.98 lakh tonnes from Indian operations and 0.95 lakh tonnes from JSW Steel USA – Ohio. The production figures have been adjusted to reflect the transfer of the steel business undertaking of Bhushan Power and Steel Limited (BPSL) to JSW -JFE Steel Limited (JV company) in March 2026.

Operational Insights

The production surge was primarily due to the full operational status of the Dolvi unit and the ramp-up of JVML operations. The Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at Vijayanagar is undergoing a planned shutdown for capacity upgradation and is expected to restart in the second fortnight of June 2026. Capacity utilization for Indian operations excluding BF3 was approximately 98%, while including BF3, it was at 87%.

As a leading integrated steel company, JSW Steel continues to focus on innovation and sustainability. The company’s commitment to reducing CO2 emissions by 42% from its steel-making operations by 2030 and achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 underscores its dedication to environmental stewardship.

JSW posts a 3.8% three-month gain, but softens in the last few weeks. The PEG of 0.18 is extremely low. Either the market misses the growth story, or there is a catch worth investigating. Revenue grows at 3.6% CAGR. The company generates cash but does not compound aggressively. The stock gives back 1.3% in the last month despite a positive three-month run. As a result, the earlier momentum appears to be fading. Both the business and the stock move in the right direction. Revenue grows at 3.6%, profits at 75.3%, and the PEG sits at 0.18 — below its growth rate. That combination is rare. Check Fundamentals of JSW Steel Limited.

JTL gains 16.9% over three months and trades near its 52-week highs. The PEG stands at 6.15 — severely stretched. Any earnings miss could trigger a sharp de-rating. Thin margins at 5.0% leave limited room for error — any demand softness or cost spike hits the bottom line hard. Buyers show up with 1.5x the volume of sellers. Moreover, they dominated on 16 of recent sessions versus 14 for sellers — a healthy accumulation pattern. The stock holds up despite 11.3% revenue growth and a PEG of 6.15. That could signal an early turnaround. Alternatively, index flows simply support the price. Watch whether analysts revise estimates upward — that is the real signal. Paradeep moves sideways over three months, with neither buyers nor sellers taking control. The PEG of 0.29 is extremely low. Either the market misses the growth story, or there is a catch worth investigating. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. The stock holds at 58% of its 52-week range with RSI at 44. In other words, neither side has a clear edge right now. Revenue grows at 28.8% and profits at 48.5%. The business is in good shape. Ambuja Cements Limited Ambujacem FY27 Expansion

Ambuja Cements Limited, part of the Adani Portfolio and one of India’s leading building materials solutions providers, has firmed up its next phase of expansion, with new greenfield and brownfield projects planned to add ~30 MTPA of cement capacity across key markets. The programme will expand its manufacturing network across the high growth markets in East, West and North, building on its current 113.5 MTPA pan-India cement capacity across 24 integrated plants and 24 grinding units.

Expansion Details

The expansion includes new grinding capacities of ~15.5 MTPA in West Cluster, 11.6 MTPA in East Cluster and 2.9 MTPA in North Cluster. The new capacities will be located in Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. The programme also includes new clinker capacity in East cluster at Umrangso (4 MTPA) in Assam, West cluster at Maratha (4 MTPA) and Mundra (2.3 MTPA), strengthening the upstream network required to support the expanded grinding footprint.

Future Outlook

Mr. Vinod Bahety, CEO – Cement Business, Adani Group, said, “Our next phase of expansion is focused on quality of growth and creating a more balanced manufacturing network. By strengthening the link between clinker and grinding capacity and expanding closer to the high growth potential key markets, we are building greater flexibility into the network. As we scale, our focus is on combining market reach with logistics and cost efficiencies so that every capacity addition strengthens the competitiveness of the overall business.”

The new programme builds on capacity expansion already under execution. During H1 FY27, the Company added 4.6 MTPA through the 1.2 MTPA brownfield expansion at Dahej in Gujarat, the new 2.4 MTPA Salai Banwa Grinding Unit in Uttar Pradesh and a 1.0 MTPA brownfield expansion at Kalamboli in Maharashtra, taking overall cement capacity to 113.5 MTPA. The near-term pipeline will further strengthen this base, with another 3.2 MTPA across Bathinda GU (1.2 MTPA) in Punjab (North cluster), Jodhpur Penna IU (2 MTPA) in Rajasthan, stabilised and expected to ramp up in H2 FY’27. In addition, the Warisaliganj GU (2.4 MTPA) in Bihar (East Cluster) will be commissioned in H2 FY’27. The Company’s total capacity is expected to reach 119 MTPA by end of March 2027.

Ambuja trades in the lower quarter of its 52-week range. The PEG of 0.65 signals undervaluation relative to growth. It is a potential re-rating candidate. Not a single revenue dip or loss quarter in five years — this is a business built to last through cycles. The stock gains 0.5% in the last month, recovering from the three-month slide. However, it is too early to call this a confirmed reversal. Revenue grows at 8.9% and profits at 34.6% CAGR, with D/E of 0.01. Meanwhile, the stock dips 6.3% in three months without any fundamental deterioration. Consequently, the stock quietly becomes cheaper relative to earnings power. For long-term investors, that is a feature. Check Fundamentals of Ambuja Cements Limited.
