Tata Motors Limited TMCV tests resistance

Tata Motors Limited (TMCV) tested resistance today, gaining +5% to ₹436.9 on the NSE on 31 Jul 2026. The stock’s 6M trendline status has shifted from CONSOLIDATING UP to HIT RESISTANCE, with the price approaching the resistance level at ₹437. This move is technical, driven by the stock’s position relative to key trendlines. TMCV operates in the consumer cyclical sector, specifically auto manufacturing, and today’s move appears to be more company-specific rather than a sector-wide trend.

Technical setup — trendlines & DMA

The current trendline structure shows TMCV’s 6M support floor at ₹428.49, which is 1.92% below today’s price. Resistance is at ₹436.82, just a fraction below today’s price, indicating the stock is testing this level. The 50-DMA is at ₹402.7, and the 200-DMA is at ₹414.5, both below today’s price, suggesting the stock is recovering rather than extended. TMCV is currently trading in the middle third of its 52W range, which implies that a significant portion of the move is already priced in.

Fundamentals & business context

With a PE of 50.4, thin profit margins of 3.6%, and a declining revenue CAGR of -56.0%, TMCV’s valuation appears stretched relative to its current earnings. The market may be pricing in a potential turnaround, but the current financials suggest caution. Institutional ownership stands at 25.9%, indicating that smart money is cautiously optimistic but not overly bullish. There was no NSE catalyst today, so the move is purely technical.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited Maruti October EV Export Milestone

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MARUTI) has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 50,000 units in electric vehicle (EV) exports since the commencement of global shipments in August 2025. This achievement underscores Maruti Suzuki’s position as India’s No. 1 EV exporter and highlights its leadership in the electric vehicle market. The company has shipped EVs to about 50 countries, with Europe being the largest destination.

Leadership in EV Exports

In FY 2025-26, Maruti Suzuki was India’s top exporter of EVs and maintained this leadership position during April-September 2026-27. Notably, in the first half of FY 2026-27, Maruti Suzuki accounted for nearly 93% of India’s electric passenger vehicle exports. This milestone reflects India’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and its growing competitiveness in the global EV market.

Expansion and Investment

The success of Maruti Suzuki’s EV exports is deeply rooted in its Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, which is the exclusive manufacturing base for Suzuki’s first global Battery Electric Vehicle. The facility recently expanded to an annual production capacity of 1 million vehicles, becoming the first Suzuki manufacturing facility globally to reach this capacity at a single location. With a cumulative investment of INR 252,887 million, Hansalpur is also a key export hub, accounting for nearly half of Maruti Suzuki’s overall overseas shipments in FY 2025-26.

As Maruti Suzuki continues to lead in EV exports, it remains committed to its ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ initiative, further solidifying its role as a global leader in sustainable mobility solutions.

Maruti drops 16.8% over three months and trades near its 52-week lows. Thin margins at 7.3% leave limited room for error — any demand softness or cost spike hits the bottom line hard.
