Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (abdl) Rating Upgraded by Two Notches to IND AA – with Stable Outlook
Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABDL) sees its rating upgraded by two notches to IND AA – with Stable Outlook by India Ratings & Research.
Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABDL) announced today that India Ratings & Research (Ind-Ra) has upgraded the company’s rating on its bank facilities by two notches to ‘IND AA -’ with a Stable Outlook. This upgrade reflects ABDL’s continued growth in consolidated scale of operations in FY26, which Ind-Ra expects to sustain with scale and grow further over the medium term.
Key Highlights of the Upgrade
The rating upgrade is a significant affirmation of ABDL’s evolving financial profile and sustained progress across scale, profitability, and balance-sheet strength. The Stable Outlook reflects Ind-Ra’s expectation that ABDL’s improved profitability is likely to sustain, driven by a better sales-mix through premiumization, leading to enhanced gross margins. Moreover, the agency expects ABDL’s consolidated net leverage to remain comfortable over the medium term, despite ongoing capex.
Market Position and Future Outlook
The rating action also factors in ABDL’s strong market position in the Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) industry, pan-India diversification, and the expanding size of the industry, which support the sustainability of scale and steady improvement over the medium to long term. Commenting on the rating upgrade, Amar Sinha, Managing Director of ABDL, stated, “This two-notch upgrade to IND AA – with a Stable Outlook is an important affirmation of ABDL’s evolving financial profile and the sustained progress we are making across scale, profitability, and balance-sheet strength.”
ABDL remains focused on building a stronger, more agile, and future-ready company while continuing to pursue growth with financial prudence.
