Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) inaugurated its 4th manufacturing unit at Malanpur, Madhya Pradesh, on 26th August, under the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan Yadav, and Nisaba Godrej, Executive Chairperson, GCPL. This marks a significant milestone in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial growth story and reinforces the state’s position as a preferred destination for large scale manufacturing investment.

Expansion and Investment

GCPL has been operational in Malanpur since 1991. Located in the Industrial Area, Malanpur, District Bhind, the plant spans a total of 65 acres with a cumulative investment of ₹850 crore. Godrej falls 10.1% over three months and has not found a floor yet. The PEG stands at 16.20 — severely stretched. Any earnings miss could trigger a sharp de-rating. Revenue grows at 4.6% CAGR. The company generates cash but does not compound aggressively. RSI stands at 31, well into oversold territory. Yet sellers still dominated on 17 of recent sessions versus 13 for buyers, so the pressure has not fully lifted. Revenue grows at 4.6% CAGR — a respectable pace. However, the stock drops 10.1% in three months without an obvious fundamental trigger. Sector-wide pressure or a valuation re-rating can persist for longer than expected. Avenue falls 13.8% over three months and has not found a floor yet. The PEG stands at 9.74 — severely stretched. Any earnings miss could trigger a sharp de-rating. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. The stock sits at 2% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. Revenue grows at 17.1% CAGR — a respectable pace. Piccadily falls 9.3% over three months and has not found a floor yet. The PEG of 0.49 is extremely low. Either the market misses the growth story, or there is a catch worth investigating. The business compounds revenue at 19.5% and profits at 83.3% CAGR. That is strong double-digit growth on both counts. The stock holds at 25% of its 52-week range with RSI at 41. In other words, neither side has a clear edge right now. Revenue grows at 19.5% and profits at 83.3% CAGR, with D/E of 0.00. Meanwhile, the stock dips 9.3% in three months without any fundamental deterioration. Consequently, the stock quietly becomes cheaper relative to earnings power.
