Alivus Life Sciences Limited ALIVUS gains 5% intraday

Alivus Life Sciences Limited (ALIVUS) bounced intraday by +5% to ₹1151.9, recovering despite a weak 6M trendline structure that remains in breakdown. The move was backed by the company’s Q1 FY27 results, where it reported a 32% YoY increase in PAT and margins at 25%. Alivus operates in the specialty and generic drug manufacturing segment, and today’s bounce appears to be company-specific rather than a sector-wide momentum shift.

Technical setup — trendlines & DMA

The current 6M trendline structure shows a breakdown, with the stock trading below both the support and resistance trendlines. The 6M support trendline is at ₹1214.56, which is 5.44% above today’s price, while the resistance trendline is at ₹1205.83, 4.68% above today’s price. The 50-DMA at ₹1094.8 is slightly above today’s price, indicating a key momentum test. The stock is currently trading above both the 50-DMA and the 200-DMA at ₹982.5, suggesting a bullish trend but with limited upside momentum. In the 52W range of ₹819.0–₹1193.9, the stock is in the upper third, indicating that much of the potential upside may already be priced in.

Fundamentals & business context

With a PE of 23.9 and profit margins at 22.1%, Alivus Life Sciences appears to be valued at a premium relative to its current earnings growth. The revenue CAGR of 7.6% and profit CAGR of 6.5% over the past 5 years suggest moderate growth, which may not fully justify the current valuation. The 8.9% institutional ownership indicates a cautious approach by smart money, possibly reflecting concerns over the company’s valuation relative to its growth metrics. Today’s move was directly influenced by the Q1 FY27 results, which showed strong financial performance.

Algorithmic scorecard

The overall algorithmic scorecard of 68 reflects a balanced but slightly weak technical and fundamental picture. The strongest signals include the company’s excellent efficiency with a 22.1% profit margin and very low debt with a D/E ratio of 0.00, indicating strong financial health. Additionally, the bullish trend signaled by the 50-DMA being above the 200-DMA and the stock’s position above both moving averages suggest positive momentum. However, the weakest signals are the overvalued PEG of 3.68, which suggests the stock is expensive relative to its growth rate, and the negligible dividend yield of 0.45%, offering little income to investors. These factors present risks that could impact the stock’s performance in the near term.

Alivus gains 15.6% over three months and trades near its 52-week highs. The PEG stands at 4.11 — severely stretched. Any earnings miss could trigger a sharp de-rating. Margins at 23.3% are impressive but need to be sustained — any compression would be a red flag. The stock gives back 4.5% in the last month despite a positive three-month run. As a result, the earlier momentum appears to be fading. The stock rises 15.6% in three months on 6.9% revenue growth. Alivus Life Sciences Limited ALIVUS breaks out

Alivus Life Sciences Limited (ALIVUS) breaks out, gaining +10% to ₹1342.9 on the NSE on 04 Aug 2026. This move is driven by the stock clearing its 6M resistance trendline, transitioning from a breakdown to a breakout. Alivus operates in the specialty and generic drug manufacturing segment within the healthcare sector. Today’s move appears to be company-specific, driven by technical factors rather than broader sector momentum.

Technical setup — trendlines & DMA

Currently, Alivus is trading above its 6M support trendline at ₹1176.5, which is 12.39% below today’s price, and has broken through its 6M resistance trendline at ₹1205.83, now 10.21% above it. The stock is also 10.49% above its 50-DMA at ₹1099.1 and 23.23% above its 200-DMA at ₹985.5, indicating a stretched move. Within its 52W range of ₹819.0–₹1225.0, the stock is in the upper third, suggesting that much of the recent momentum is already priced in.

Fundamentals & business context

With a PE of 24.7 and profit margins at 23.3%, Alivus’s valuation appears to be reflecting its solid earnings quality. However, the revenue CAGR of 7.6% and profit CAGR of 6.5% over the past five years suggest that the stock’s price may be somewhat stretched relative to its growth rate. The 8.9% institutional ownership indicates a cautious approach by smart money, possibly due to the stock’s overvalued PEG ratio of 3.80. There is no NSE catalyst today, making this move primarily technical.

Strategic priorities have shifted towards lateral growth and higher entry barriers to sustain profitability, with an even distribution of revenue across mature geographies and a growing presence in Japan. Capacity expansion is planned from 1,198 KL in FY24 to 2,690 KL by FY28, and R&D spend is expected to settle around 4% of sales in the next 2 to 3 years. The company also hopes to close 2 new CDMO deals in the early second half of the current year.
