CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited (CGPOWER) climbed +5% to ₹873.15 on the NSE today, driven by a technical move as the stock tests the upper end of its 6-month consolidation range. Snapshot: ₹873.15 on 2026-08-04 (chart frozen at publication)
Fundamentals & business context
With a PE ratio of 104.0 and profit margins at 9.8%, CGPOWER’s valuation appears stretched relative to its current earnings, especially considering its revenue CAGR of 21.2%. The market may be pricing in expectations of a future turnaround or higher growth rates, which the company has yet to demonstrate consistently. Institutional ownership stands at 20.1%, indicating a cautious but present interest from smart money. There was no NSE catalyst today, making the move primarily technical in nature.
Algorithmic scorecard
The overall algorithmic scorecard for CGPOWER reflects a balanced but cautious outlook, with strengths in revenue growth and low debt offset by weaknesses in profit margins and valuation. The strongest signals include excellent revenue CAGR of 21.2%, indicating robust top-line growth, and very low debt levels, suggesting strong financial health. On the flip side, the weakest signals are the thin profit margins of 9.8%, which leave little room for error, and the overvalued PEG ratio of 13.33, suggesting the stock may be priced higher than its growth rate justifies. These factors present both opportunities and risks for investors.
