QMS Medical Allied Services Limited (NSE: QMSMEDI) announced on September 28th, 2026, its plan to acquire BeamOptics Scientific, a Pune-based diagnostics and analytical deep-tech company. This strategic move aims to bolster QMS’s product business, now the primary segment following the demerger of its services business into Saarathi Healthcare. The acquisition aligns with QMS’s strategy to expand its product portfolio in value-added segments.

Strategic Expansion

The acquisition of BeamOptics will be finalized subject to mutual fulfillment of terms and conditions and post NCLT approval of the composite scheme of arrangement with Health Care at Home (HCAH). Commenting on the acquisition, Mr. Mahesh Makhija, Chairman & Managing Director of QMS Medical Allied Services Limited, said, “I welcome the BeamOptics team to the QMS family and remain confident that the combined impact of niche technology, pan-India distribution, and brand reputation will lead to large-scale growth opportunities.”

Company Background

BeamOptics Scientific Private Limited, founded in 2023, is an ISO 13485/2016-certified, IP-led deep-tech company developing and manufacturing diagnostic devices and analytical instruments. Its products combine optical sensing, spectroscopy, Computer Vision, Acoustic Sensing, Multispectral Imaging, and Artificial Intelligence. BeamOptics has developed the FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) Interferometer and has built its own FTIR spectroscopy platform, filing several patents.

As part of its value-creation strategy, QMS has demerged its services business into its wholly-owned subsidiary, Saarathi Healthcare, and merged its Patient Services Program portfolio with Health Care at Home (HCAH). The product business will continue to operate under QMS Medical Allied Services. This acquisition is a natural extension of QMS’s value-unlocking and business leadership strategies, enabling its product and services portfolio offerings to evolve to the next stage of growth.
