Hyundai Motor India Limited (HYUNDAI) clears resistance, moves up 6% intraday
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HYUNDAI) stock breaks out, moving up 6% intraday to ₹2155.4, clearing its 6M resistance trendline.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HYUNDAI) breaks out with a +6% gain to ₹2155.4, clearing its 6M resistance trendline. This move is backed by the recent NSE filing highlighting Q1 FY27 results where regulatory compliance boosted revenue to ₹163,346 crore. In the auto manufacturing sector, HYUNDAI’s performance today indicates a strong company-specific catalyst rather than broad sector momentum, positioning it as a standout player.
Technical setup — trendlines & DMA
The current trendline structure shows HYUNDAI breaking above its 6M resistance at ₹1995.26, now trading 7.43% above this level. The 6M support floor at ₹1938.62 is comfortably below the current price, indicating a solid base. The 50-DMA at ₹1941.3 is below the 200-DMA at ₹2085.3, suggesting a bearish trend, yet the stock’s recent breakout indicates potential reversal momentum. HYUNDAI is currently trading in the middle third of its 52W range, suggesting there’s room for further upside without being overextended.
Snapshot: ₹2,155.40 on 2026-07-31 (chart frozen at publication)
Fundamentals & business context
With a PE of 30.2 and profit margins at 7.7%, HYUNDAI’s valuation appears stretched relative to its current earnings, especially given its revenue CAGR of 5.5%. This suggests the market may be pricing in future growth or a turnaround, which could be risky if not realized. Institutional ownership at 13.7% indicates a cautious yet interested stance from smart money, possibly betting on HYUNDAI’s strategic initiatives and market position. Today’s move is directly tied to the Q1 FY27 NSE filing, showcasing strong financial performance and strategic focus on alternative fuels.
Algorithmic scorecard
The overall algorithmic scorecard reflects a technically strong but fundamentally weaker profile for HYUNDAI. Two of the strongest signals are the breakout above resistance levels with momentum and the very low debt levels, indicating excellent financial health and potential for upward price movement. Conversely, the two weakest signals are the low profit margin of 7.7% and the overvalued PEG of 6.16, suggesting thin profits and expensive valuation relative to growth, which could pose risks if market conditions change or if the company fails to meet growth expectations.
Company outlook
Management’s forward guidance for fiscal 2026-27 includes expecting industry growth of 5% to 6%, with the compact SUV segment growing faster due to new model launches. EBITDA margin is expected to be within the guided range of 11% to 14% for FY26. Capacity utilization is anticipated to improve with new models and increased volumes, with Phase 2 of the Pune plant ramp-up planned for Calendar Year 2028 to increase capacity to 1.1 million. Management is also focusing on stabilizing operations, leveraging the new Pune plant, and launching new models and derivatives as per Investor Day commitments.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MARUTI) announces surpassing 50,000 EV exports, leading India’s electric vehicle exports in FY 2026-27.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MARUTI) has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 50,000 units in electric vehicle (EV) exports since the commencement of global shipments in August 2025. This achievement underscores Maruti Suzuki’s position as India’s No. 1 EV exporter and highlights its leadership in the electric vehicle market. The company has shipped EVs to about 50 countries, with Europe being the largest destination.
Leadership in EV Exports
In FY 2025-26, Maruti Suzuki was India’s top exporter of EVs and maintained this leadership position during April-September 2026-27.
