Pine Labs Limited Launches P3P: India’s First Agentic Payment Protocol
Pine Labs Limited introduces P3P, India’s first agentic payment protocol built on UPI, enabling AI agents to complete payments without human authentication.
Pine Labs Limited has announced the launch of P3P, India’s first agentic payment protocol built on UPI, enabling AI agents to complete payments without human authentication. This groundbreaking development marks a significant milestone in agentic commerce in India. The Pine Labs Payment Protocol (P3P) extends UPI’s mandate framework into payments triggered by AI agents, allowing consumers to authorize once upfront, with no need for human intervention in the payment process.
How P3P Works
P3P integrates with UPI’s existing mandate framework, providing the payment and settlement rails for autonomous commerce. Grantex offers verifiable identity, delegated authorization, spend controls, and auditability, while HTTP 402 provides a standardized protocol for machine-readable payment requests. This combination enables trusted, secure, and auditable agent-to-agent transactions on behalf of merchants.
Real Commerce, Live Today
Gullak, India’s leading digital gold savings platform, is the first to go live on P3P. A Gullak user sets a rule to buy gold if the price drops below ₹16,000 per gram and approves a UPI mandate once. The AI agent follows the rule to execute the purchase without further human intervention. This move from manual savings to autonomous wealth creation is made possible by Pine Labs’ infrastructure. Further partner deployments are underway across retail, fintech, travel, and beyond.

Fundamental & Technical Analysis of Pine Labs Limited
Pine Labs Limited belongs to the Technology › Software – Infrastructure sector. Here’s a quick read on where the business and the stock stand today.
Pine falls 8.8% over three months and has not found a floor yet. Razor-thin margins below 5% make profitability extremely vulnerable — this business needs scale or pricing power urgently. No meaningful dividend — total return is entirely dependent on capital appreciation. The stock sits at 10% of its 52-week range, close to annual lows. Historically, value investors build positions at these levels — though cheap stocks can stay cheap. Revenue grows at 26.0% CAGR and the PEG stands at 99.00. The growth does not match the price the market asks. Furthermore, flat price action adds no technical catalyst. A lower price or faster revenue growth would improve the odds.
