Hindalco Industries Limited Hindalco Q2 FY27 Results

Hindalco Industries Limited (HINDALCO) reported its second quarter fiscal year 2027 results on November 5, 2026. The company’s net income attributable to common shareholders surged 29% year-over-year to ₹1,200 crore, driven by favorable market conditions and disciplined execution.

Financial Highlights

The company’s revenue for Q2 FY27 increased 25% compared to the same period last year, reaching ₹1,200 crore. The rise in revenue was primarily due to higher aluminum prices, although total rolled product shipments dipped 2% year-over-year to 919 kilotonnes. Net income attributable to common shareholders, excluding special items, also rose 29% to ₹1,200 crore. The increase was fueled by insurance recoveries related to the 2025 Oswego fires and a 20% rise in Adjusted EBITDA to ₹1,200 crore.

Operational Updates

In September, the Bay Minette cold mill produced its first coil and is on track to begin commercial shipments in the first quarter of fiscal year 2028. The company’s net leverage ratio stood at 4.7x at the end of Q2 FY27, with total liquidity of ₹2,000 crore, consisting of ₹1,300 crore in cash and cash equivalents and ₹700 crore in committed credit facilities.

Looking Ahead

As Bay Minette transitions from construction to start-up, reduced capital spending, continued cost discipline, and solid underlying business conditions are expected to drive a return to positive free cash flow and mark the beginning of a deleveraging cycle toward the end of this fiscal year.
