Fortis drops 22.7% over three months and trades near its 52-week lows. The PEG of 2.53 is on the high side. However, it is acceptable for a quality compounder with a strong moat. Revenue grows at 13.3% and profits at 21.0% CAGR. The market consistently rewards this kind of compounding. RSI stands at 27, well into oversold territory. Yet sellers still dominated on 20 of recent sessions versus 10 for buyers, so the pressure has not fully lifted. The business compounds at 13.3% revenue and 21.0% profit CAGR, with D/E of 0.00. Yet the stock drops 22.7% in three months. The business does not deteriorate — the stock does. That gap is what long-term investors look for. Check Fundamentals of Fortis Healthcare Limited.

Fortis Healthcare Limited Fortis Acquisition October 2026

Fortis Healthcare Limited (FORTIS) announced today its acquisition of Suguna Hospital in Bengaluru from Suguna Ramaiah Hospitals Private Limited. The transaction, consummated on October 28, 2026, is structured as an all-cash deal valued at approximately INR 277 crores. This acquisition aligns with Fortis’ cluster-focused inorganic growth strategy and further strengthens its network in Bengaluru.

Strategic Expansion

The acquisition comprises the entire business operations of Suguna Hospital, along with the underlying hospital land and building. Suguna Hospital, a 110-bedded facility located in Rajajinagar, North-West Bengaluru, has the potential to expand to approximately 150 beds. This move consolidates Fortis’ position in the micromarket following the acquisition of People Tree Hospital earlier this year.

Operational Bed Capacity

With this acquisition, Fortis now has around 500 potential beds across its existing facilities in Rajajinagar, the People Tree facility in Yeshwanthpur, and the newly acquired Suguna Hospital. The transaction provides Fortis with significant opportunities to leverage its existing brand presence and enhance the facility’s performance in the future.

Future Prospects

Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, MD & CEO of Fortis Healthcare Limited, stated, “This acquisition expands our presence in the city and specifically in the North West Bengaluru corridor which we believe is an underserved catchment. With Suguna hospitals in our portfolio, we now have ~1000 operational beds in the city including our O&M facilities; reinforcing our strategy of expanding and deepening our presence in our focused clusters. We foresee significant opportunities to leverage our existing network and drawing from scale and synergy efficiencies to optimize operations, while further strengthening our clinical capabilities and brand presence.”
